VERONIKA JOSTOVA

Whats your name, age and where are you from / currently living?

My name is Veronika, I'm 22 and I come from Prague.

What is your profession besides modeling?

I'm a specialty coffee barista.

How did you get into modeling?

By chance as a part-time. I think one of the initial thoughts was how cool it would be if one day I am a grandma and I can show my grandchildren how dope I was back in the day in all those shoots.

What kind of garment would you like to be and why?

I guess I would like to be a pretty dress. Because I think that wearing a pretty dress can make anyone feel really good.

If you could make one wish, what would it be?

I would wish that everyone would try to be kinder and the best version of themselves.

Who did you always want to meet for a coffee and a chat?

I can´t say it has always been like that, as it is quite recent: I really want to meet Ricky Gervais, he's a British comedian and he's hilarious. He also talks a lot about issues that we have in society and he's a very smart guy.

How do you integrate the topic of sustainability into your everyday life and have you ever thought about sustainable clothing?

Well, I know there's a lot of things that you can do and I'm trying to do as good as I can. So I can't say that I'm 100% sustainable, but when I go shopping, for example, I bring my own bag and I'm trying not to use plastic. And it's important for me to also work in an environment where the employer cares about that. I am looking at local products first when I can and since I moved to Portugal I have been growing my own vegetables. So that's how I'm trying to improve among many other things. And when it comes to sustainable clothing, I've always shopped in secondhand shops and I'm trying to make my wardrobe as much secondhand as possible.

I like to reuse and repair things when it comes to clothing and anything in general.

Is there something you always wanted to say?

Not on my mind, because every time I want to say something, I just say it.
